RAMS READY TO ROLL IN NRRRL; Marist Brothers Recruits Well for the New Season

MARIST Brothers will boast a new-look backline when the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League season kicks off next month.

The Rams have recruited well with the signing of halfback TeAte Jackson and centres Sio Alefosio and Chris King.

King returns to the club for the first time since 2011 after stints with Byron Bay and Northern United.

Both centres should form a lethal combination with fullback Mitchell Krause in the side.

Brothers have also retained the services of hooker Paul O'Neill and front-rower Darryl Butcher who have been two of their most consistent players in recent seasons.

"We've kept the majority of our players from last season with a few new faces around the club," Butcher said.

"Kyle Kennedy, Lochie Perren and Blake O'Connor are back training after spending some time at NRL clubs over the preseason."

Coach Michael Woods is back again after returning to the club last season. …
