CAPRAS' coach Kim Williams shied away from wielding the selection axe this week but warned his underperforming players were on notice.

Following Saturday's 30-10 defeat at the hands of Brisbane's Easts Tigers, Williams (pictured) challenged his troops to be more accountable and do the little things right.

"We were good the week before, it has been one bad performance and it is hard to drop someone after one game but certainly players are on notice," Williams said.

"I think the Tigers are a good side but we made them look a little bit better than they actually were, their forwards got a lot of offloads and their halves carved us up a little.

"We just went away from our game plan which is the most disappointing thing. Then we had to chase points. Our problems come in crunch moments under pressure and that's when you need to fall back on things that we have trained on and game plan in the week.

"Early we seemed to go away from our game plan immediately and our leadership group needs to be a little bit accountable for that.

"Based on the weekend, our whole starting 13 needs to lift their game. We will have a tough season and I am looking to seeing how the players respond to it, if they don't respond well then I could make changes even this week."

Williams admitted the lack of accountability and urgency had been a common theme in both of their two losses this season. …
