AMONG the cases dealt with by Teesside Magistrates' Court on March 21 were: Jeffrey Greener, 35, of Kildale Grove, Stockton, fined PS567 and ordered to pay a charge of PS56 and costs of PS85 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

Jamie Lee Waters, 29, of Bridge Street West, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with drug rehabilitation and rehabilitation activity requirements and ordered to pay PS10 in compensation for theft of a charity tin belonging to Daisy Chain.

Andrew James Johnson, 32, of Bridge Road, Stockton, given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a charge of PS15 for theft.

Malcolm Richard Campbell, 50, of Geneva Drive, Redcar, jailed for eight weeks and ordered to pay a charge of PS80 and costs of PS100 for breaching a restraining order.

Michael Patrick Williams, 60, of Borough Road, Middlesbrough, jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay compensation of PS150 for criminal damage, failing to surrender to custody, breaching a conditional discharge order and being drunk and disorderly. Thami Shabangu, 27, of Hartington Road, Stockton, given a 12-month community order with rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay a charge of PS60, compensation of PS2 and costs of PS200 for assault, failing to surrender to custody, theft and breaching a conditional discharge.

Christopher James Docherty, 27, of Hartington Road, Stockton, given an eight-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months with a drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay a charge of PS80 and costs of PS85 for carrying a bladed article in a public place and breaching a community order.

Bradley Alexander Grimes, 21, of no fixed abode, given a 12-month community with drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay a charge of PS60 for possession of a Class A drug.

Zdenek Velek, 28, of Harford Street, Middlesbrough, given a six-week community order with curfew requirement and ordered to pay a charge of PS60 and costs of PS85 for theft and failing to surrender to custody. …
