Foundation of Light, the registered charity of Sunderland Football Club, aims to make learning and self-development fun by using the power of football. Already working with over 42,000 participants every year and employing over 150 staff, the Foundation is looking to add to its premier team. Ref: 001 * World of Work Coordinator (Work-based learning) * Full Time * 35 hours Applications are invited for this key post working within the education and work-based learning area of the Foundation. The main focus will be to create and coordinate business partnerships, ensuring enough revenue is raised to maintain and grow Foundation programmes. The role will include building relationships with key businesses to be involved in work-based learning programmes including areas such as apprenticeships, traineeships, and work placements. Experience and demonstrable skills are required to engage and create successful partnerships with businesses for the benefit of Foundation post 16 sector. The successful applicant must be able to generate lasting partnerships to meet financial targets. Applicants should demonstrate an enthusiastic, professional and flexible approach with strong negotiation skills together with a recent track record of success in a similar role. Ref: 002 * Further Education Officer (Functional Skills Tutor) * Full Time * 35 hours This nationally recognised scheme uses the power of football to educate young people and adults throughout the North East giving them the skills and qualifications to progress into employment or further education. The programme requires innovative and inspiring tutors to teach young people aged 16-19 in Functional Skills programmes, helping them obtain level one and two qualifications or work towards GCSE qualifications in Maths and English. This post specifically requires the candidate to have a Level 5 subject specialism in Maths or English and be able to teach GCSE level.
