MY artwork is usually quite large. I am inspired by the ocean. I used to snorkel a lot in Perth, I lived at Cottesloe Beach. It is a beautiful spot. I had the reef right out the front.

Painting makes me calm. It takes me into another world. Being inspired by the ocean - I find when I paint I get the same feelings as when I snorkel.

I work rather large and I work on canvases on the ground so I am moving and hovering around it like I am snorkelling. I just get lost in it.

I moved back to Bundaberg just before Christmas.

I have travelled all over the world. I have lived in lots of places around Australia but for the last six years I lived in Western Australia where I worked in a studio.

I am mainly a painter. I do some sculpture and installation work as well but my main practice is painting.

I have always drawn and painted but I went to university in Perth in 2000 and did my degree, a BA in Visual Art, and then my Honours in 2003. …
