Woman Wants Help to Find Mum

AS THE search for missing woman Christa Crewe enters its sixth day, her daughter has renewed calls for public assistance after her own weekend efforts failed to shed any light on the disappearance.

After days of painful waiting last week, Leanne Crewe took matters into her own hands and set out to search for her mum in the spots she thought she might visit.

"I started at Minyon Falls, travelled the coast roads and the back roads around Lismore -- all the spots mum might have been," she said.

"I will get to Evans Head as soon as I can.

"I just felt like I couldn't wait; after a couple of days I felt something needs to be done."

Ms Crewe said her mother's disappearance was "bizarre" and out of character.

She described the search as daunting, because her mum, 54, could be anywhere.

"I'm not going to give up, but it is hard when you don't know where to start," Ms Crewe said.

There have been no sightings of the Lismore Heights resident since last Tuesday, when Mrs Crewe went to the post office and bottle shop at the Rous Hotel. …
