LIFE is good.

That's what Claire Cunningham reckons at least.

"I enjoy everything. Life really is good but sometimes it takes a while to realise that," Mrs Cunningham said.

Along with her husband Eric, Mrs Cunningham has had her hands in the dirt at the Enchanted Garden Nursery for over 35 years and says she wouldn't have it any other way.

"I don't do much else these days. This is my life," she said.

"I garden for work and I garden for fun."

The Cunninghams moved to Walloon near Amberley after their wedding and Mrs Cunningham worked at Perrotts Nursery in Enoggera once a week during the 1970s and also did some nursery work from home.

"I've been gardening since I was five years old," she said.

"I love growing plants, but I've never had time to study it. I was always too busy just doing it.

"I worked as a chef at the University of Queensland for a while in my younger days. I wasn't trained in that either but ran a kitchen at St Leo's House for a few years. …
