TWO LATE saves from Gladstone goalkeeper Dylan Fry was what kept his Under-14 team's 2-1 loss against Bundaberg from being a worse result in yesterday's third round of the Inner City Cup competition.

More than 200 spectators - most of them parents and relatives - congregated at Brian Niven Park to see some great soccer action.

Just shortly after the home team held on to a gripping draw, Gladstone's Dylan Walz said his team began with promise, but fatigue late in the match proved costly.

"We dropped off in our intensity and they got the goal," Walz said. "We played a strong game at the start and our mids (mid-fielders) played really well."

The Brisbane Roar supporter was pleased with his input as a defender and likes to take on his opponents.

"I defended well and I like to build up attacks and set them up," Dylan added.

Unfortunately, it was also another loss for Gladstone in its second match against Fraser Coast. …
