WHEN it comes to location, it doesn't get more ideal than Marion and Neil Mac Pherson's stunning period home in Hexham.

Tucked away on a secluded leafy site, yet within walking distance of the town centre, it couldn't be better situated for family life.

Marion said: "We were attracted to the house because of its position. It has a lovely south facing garden and is on a tranquil spot at the end of the cul de sac.

The large kitchen has a breakfast area with cathedral-style ceiling and French doors to the terrace. There is also a cloakroom and utility room. Marion said: "I spend most of my time in the kitchen. There is an Aga, large family dining table and sitting area. I like the homely feel about the kitchen. It's a very sociable area.

"The front reception rooms are all very sunny because they are all south facing."

The first floor has a landing with balcony providing garden views. The main landing provides access to four double bedrooms, bathroom with contemporary suite, and separate shower room.

"All of the bedrooms are double and a good size and we have four large reception rooms. …
