CORAKI will go into their Premier League men's hockey clash with Northern Star in the sharp form necessary to challenge the defending premiers.

The game will be played at Hepburn Park, Goonellabah, today from 1.30pm, with East Lismore up against Ballina at 5.45pm.

The Grafton teams will square off in other games this weekend.

Coraki and Star are the big improvers and it shapes up as a good match this afternoon.

Coraki have scored 10 goals in their past two games.

That is the preparation you want when playing the premiers.

In Coraki's win last weekend six players shared eight goals so they are not looking to a single striker - the entire side has goal fever.

Star has similar capabilities. although not scoring as many.

It is their defence that sets them apart from the others.

McGuiness, Horne and Harmon will need to be at their best to hold out Coraki.

East Lismore and Ballina play the late game under lights. …
