WHILE the proposed Lismore Home & Leisure Centre, next to the airport, promises to bring 60 construction jobs and more than 140 full-time jobs to the area, most readers' comments on our website feared its ramifications for the Lismore CBD.

Overwhelmingly, the biggest reservations readers had for a "super centre" in Lismore, which would include nine large retailers and cafe precinct, was its potentially detrimental effect on small businesses in town.
