Don't I Know You? Players the Boro Faithful Could Meet Again Next Season

STEVE McClaren got the boot, Gary O'Neil got relegated with Norwich City - and left anyway - as did Joe Bennett's Aston Villa, not that he featured much.

But we'll still see some familiar faces at the Riverside next season.

Granted, we shouldn't brace ourselves for weekly reunions and with Christian Ziege and Nick Barmby, long-retired, there won't be too many anger-filled screams of "boooooo" when MMP goes through opposing sides, but there's a fair few former Boro players who will be heading back to the Riverside.

One of them is a Premier League champion!

We take a look at some well-known names who'll be heading back to their old stamping ground next term.

James Morrison There was a time when it looked as though we could be watching Morrison every week next season.

But with the former Boro man now reportedly set to sign a new deal with the Baggies, we'll have to settle for West Brom's visit to the Riverside and Boro's trip to the Hawthorns.

While Boro have toiled in the Championship, Morrison has established himself a key figure in the top flight for West Brom.

He's now their longest serving player, hence the desperation from Tony Pulis to keep hold of him this summer.

Baggies fans haven't been best pleased with their side's style of play in the last year or so - it comes with the territory for Pulis - but you won't find too many Hawthorns regulars who speak ill of Morrison.

He's not necessarily the exciting and pacy winger who left the Riverside in 2007 though. His game has changed since then and he's now equally home in the middle of the park, darting from box to box.

It was a mistake of Southgate to let him go in the first place but Morrison hasn't looked back since his Riverside departure. …
