WHEN Ellie Gustafson started her own mobile hairdressing business she always thought her place of work would be at the home of her client.

But last month the Yeppoon hairdresser and mother-of-two opened the doors to her very own salon in the main street of Yeppoon after years of building up her business.

Ellie, the owner of Cutting Edge Boutique, said she always thought her business would be a mobile one but couldn't wait to start working out of her own salon.

"I've been in the industry for eight years," she said.

"I started my own business in 2012 and it's always been run from home or mobile based. I specialise in hair and makeup which means it was easy for me to travel to attend to clients but I also really wanted to give them a permanent place to come and be pampered.

"About six months ago I started looking for places and found one in the main street of Yeppoon which is a great location for a business like mine because it's central and easy for people to just pop in for random appointments. …
