PHILADELPHIA moved into second place in Division One with an expected victory over bottom club Hylton, who were beaten by 64 runs at Bunker Hill.

Shaun Hauxwell (80) set Phili on their way to a declared total of 200-6 before Stevie Wright (5-27) hammered another nail into the Wearsiders' relegation coffin as they were bowled out for 136.

The win lifted Phili above Dawdon, who were outplayed in their home match against Easington.

Sujit Nayak proved to be the potent force, his 60-ball 55 the top score as Easington declared on 189-8 after 47 overs.

His four wickets then polished off Dawdon for just 103 after Gary Ward (4-14 from 12 overs) had caused early havoc.

Burnopfield saw five points whittled off their overall lead - which now stands at 66 - when their home game against Durham City fell foul of the weather.

However, they were by no means certain of victory after losing two wickets for 14 runs in pursuit of a target of 140.

Seaham Park's title challenge looks to be fading. …
