WITH Europe's two football heavyweight's going head to head tonight it's staggering Germany have never beaten Italy in a tournament match.

No wins out of eight with the most recent at Euro 2012 resulting in a 2-1 victory for Italy.

A repeat of the scoreline tonight is 15.0 (14-1). Germany won the friendly 4-1 when they met in March but that was their first win over Italy for 21 years and in tournament football the Italians are always a different kettle of fish.
