A PIECE of Coffs Harbour's architectural history will go under the hammer this weekend.

The four-bedroom home at 3 Solitary St, Coffs Harbour Jetty was built in 1968 and has never changed hands from its original owners.

The distinctive home was designed by the renowned architect Trevor Reddacliff who was behind many iconic Coffs Harbour buildings and went on to work on major projects in Sydney, Brisbane and China.

Proving good design is timeless, many of the homes stylish details create a still-contemporary look today.

Nolan Partners Principal Scott Nolan said while the history and design of the home are fascinating, from a real estate perspective, the location is second to none.

"You've got views from the harbour all the way to the Solitary Islands, straight up Coffs Creek to the hinterland and towards the city," he said.
