Trailer Restoring Pride; New Trailer to Aid Land Preservation

DORROBBEE Grass Reserve Trust president Jally Hawthorn believes our cultural stories are embedded into the landscape and by preserving our land we maintain our stories.

To this affect Lismore City Council has unveiled a new Community Pride Trailer to aid local community groups in their beautification projects.

It is available for all beautification projects and Dorrobbee Grass Reserve Trust will be using it on August 7 for a working bee.

"It is really very exciting because you just never know who is going to turn up at a working bee and how much equipment you will need," Ms Hawthorn said.

"It also means that volunteers don't need to bring their own equipment because people sometimes don't like to expose their own stuff to the harsh environment out there.

"Having some extra equipment will make our working bees much more effective."

The trailer includes a mower, brush cutter, blower and wheelbarrow as well as a fuel drum, handsaw, toolbox, shovels, broom, rake and WHS equipment. …
