AS THE Jumpers and Jazz Festival grows with each year, so do the amazing yarn-bombing instalments.

Last year they gave us The Woollow Tree and the year before, the fabulous Knitchen.

This year, prepare for Yarntopia -- a yarn-tastic precinct taking in the avenue between the art gallery and Palmerin St, the town hall itself and the Downtown Lounge.

Yarn-bombing team organiser Loretta Grayson said the project just kept growing.

"I have this crazy and creative team and we're all going home at night and dreaming up more bits and pieces that add to the scope of the project," Mrs Grayson said.

"One day, someone suggested Yarntopia should have plants, so now we've got vines and flowers , pineapples, carnivorous plants and things growing out of the gardens out the front of the town hall, all knitted or crocheted of course.

"It's just grown bigger, brighter and bolder everyday."

Mrs Grayson said the team began working on ideas for this year's project more than seven months ago. …
