BASKETBALL: In another frustrating weekend for the Bulls, their mental frailties once again let them down.

Playing in a double header against the Sunshine Coast teams, the Bulls' losing streak was extended to seven matches as they lost to the Phoenix Clippers and the Rip.

It didn't start well for the Bulls, with the team failing to show up against the Clippers on Saturday night.

Conceding over 100 points for the fourth time this season, they lost by 44 points in another poor performance.

With the contest over at half-time, assistant coach Michael Catlin said there was not a single highlight from the match.

"It felt like the players were on holiday on Saturday," he said.

"We lapsed in all areas and we were not mentally focussed."

Demanding a response from the players for the poor effort, the coaches got one on Sunday.

In a repeat contest with the Rip from the week before, the margin was the same, the team losing by five points. …
