THE MARVELLOUS WORLD OF ROALD DAHL Tonight, BBC2, 8pm THIS documentary makes use of archived letters, writings and biographical material to tell the story of the life of Roald Dahl, in his own inimitable voice.

From his time as a fighter pilot in the Second World War, through to his work as a spy and his encounters with Walt Disney and Theodore Roosevelt, the programme explores how Dahl's personal experiences may have informed the fantastical tales he would eventually publish, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda.

Includes contributions by Dahl's last wife Liccy, his daughter Lucy and biographer Donald Sturrock. Long-term collaborator Quentin Blake also provides new animated illustrations based on the events of Dahl's life.

Robot Wars Tomorrow, BBC2, 8pm IT may be only 12 years since Robot Wars was last on our screens, but technology has moved on a lot since then. So, will the machines battling it out in this revived series make the previous competitors look like biscuit tins on wheels? Here's a chance to find out as new hosts Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon welcome us to the purpose-built arena in Glasgow as amateur engineers put their radio-controlled creations to the test.

The first batch will have to compete in a group stage and head-to-head rounds to make it to the episode final. We'll also get to Wars see if the class of 2016 really does outclass the robots of the past as a memorable former contestant returns.

NAKED ATTRACTION Monday, Channel 4, 10pm HOSTED by Anna Richardson, this dating show involves two singletons choosing a date from a selection of six naked people, who are revealed to them one body part at a time. They then they whittle the candidates down until only one remains.

In the first edition, Aina, a music producer from London, wants to find someone adventurous who she can have a deeper connection with, while Guildfordbased designer Mal is curious to see who she will be drawn to when all options are laid bare before her.
