DANGEROUS Song is a unique performance piece that combines the human voice with the sounds of endangered and extinct animals to create an intriguing and moving musical performance.

This musical collaboration between Linsey Pollak and Lizzie O'Keefe is very exciting, with a very strong musical rapport which has created a new musical language with structured, yet very free improvisation at its core.

This musical performance journey takes us to a world of sound where the human and the animal combine.

Lizzie joins Linsey weaving her voice in and out of the musical landscape of animal sounds that Linsey provides.

So, don't miss it on Friday, August 12 at 6pm at the Gympie Regional Gallery, 39 Nash St, with tickets priced at $20 adult, $12 child, $18 concession, $15 Coolarts Gympie members.

Refreshments and cash bar will be available. Tickets will be available from the Gallery or at the door.

This performance is held in conjunction with the exhibition Bimblebox 153 Birds on view at the Gallery from August 9-September 3. The performance is proudly supported by Coolarts Gympie.

THERE is always something different to see at the Gympie Regional Gallery.

At the moment there are three exhibitions on view that explore different ideas and themes.

Downstairs in Gallery Three is an exhibition titled Enigmatic Drawing by Sunshine Coast artist George Allan that explores universal symbols and ideas.

George began drawing these artworks spontaneously one day without any training in art.

He can't explain where these symbols came from but for him the impulse to share them with the world was overwhelming.

Upstairs in the Hugo Du Rietz Gallery space is an exhibition by local artist and art teacher Prue Sheehan titled Love's Gift.

The exhibition of painting and ceramics explores the ideas of God's love and the suffering of Jesus on the cross. …
