Gun Lobby Needs to Be Destroyed in USA

AMAZINGLY, it's been 20 years since the aggrieved Martin Bryant slaughtered 35 innocent tourists at Port Arthur.

He was seeking attention, power and significance, with a gun.

He is now languishing in a Tasmanian prison for life, while his 35 victims' lives came to an abrupt end on that fatal day.

What did follow that tragedy was the Howard Government clamping down on gun ownership here.

Sadly, America doesn't see the need to rein in gun ownership, despite the positive results in Australia.

The US is a nation divided on gun control.

The "Gun Lobby" is so strong, it can swing an election or presidency in its favour.

Apparently, the Second Amendment to the American Constitution of 1787-88, grants the American people the right to keep and bear arms.

This is upheld in most of their 52 states to this day, to the dismay of many who have accidentally or intentionally lost their lives through some mishap, or the sinister actions of others. …
