Feeding Time as Redmen Ready to Dine on Snapper

RUGBY UNION: Rugby is filled with larger than life characters and none more so than Grafton Redmen second-grade front-rower James Towns.

Dubbed the "Big Man from Nymboida" or just simply "Townsy" to his teammates, Towns has been an integral part of Grafton's bid for a second-grade premiership this season.

Off the field Towns is renowned for providing plenty of comedy relief with his razor-sharp wit. But it's on the field where the Henwoods' second-grade prop has received glowing comments from his coach.

"Townsy's very deceptive and gets around the park quite well for his size," Redmen coach Guy Robertson said during the week.

"His scrummaging is outstanding and he's highly competitive. Townsy's talk on the field is fantastic and he has that level of aggression we'll need to take into the game against Coffs on Saturday."

The Redmen have one final tilt at a grand final appearance when they take on arch-rivals Coffs Snappers at Tom Jung Quarries Rugby Park on Saturday. …
