FINALLY domestic football is back - with all four divisions having now kicked off following the return of the Premier League over the weekend.

Already the excitement English football brings has swept away the negativity of Euro 2016, when I was extremely underwhelmed by a lot of the football on display in France.

Newcastle United need to improve their results and add to the excitement which domestic football brings but, apart from the Magpies' opening two defeats, I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the EFL and now the Premier League return.

Saturday's top-flight matches were slow-burners but Sunday showed how thrilling the Premier League can be at full flow.

First of all we saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic (pictured) open his Premier League account as Manchester United battled to a win against Bournemouth and then we witnessed an end-to-end match at the Emirates.

True, the defending was terrible in north London but Arsenal and Liverpool both looked exciting going forward. …
