I WAS so pleased with our student community at the annual Pacific Valley Music night held on the evening of August 10 at the Yamba Bowling Club. It was wonderful to see so many family and friends filling up the auditorium.

This was a fantastic night in which we offered praise to our great God and showcased the gifts and talents of our Pacific Valley students. God's Word tells us that every good and perfect gift is from our heavenly Father. I believe music is one of the greatest gifts we have and when we honour Him we become a blessing to others.

The night featured performances from our primary school classes who each performed a variety of numbers. The outfits were cool and singing was fun.

Our Year 7 & 8 Bucket Band brought a thunderous sound. The band was composed of 20 students playing everyday buckets with drumsticks, nine children on floor toms and three students on drum kits. The final number combined the booming sound of the drums with heavily distorted guitars for a metal delight. …
