Get in Mood for 'Real Food' at Health Cafe

WITH acai bowls, super-food salads and organic chocolate treats available when dining out, nourishing your body has never been so easy.

Now, there is a new place in town residents can get a healthy guilt-free meal.

Food For Life is officially opening its doors on Saturday in the CBD.

The coffee shop has a breakfast and lunch menu and a fridge full of healthy treats and drinks.

Owner Elspeth Haswell-Smith said the coffee shop offered "real food".

"We have a real food, grown locally philosophy. We use local produce and support our region's farmers," she said.

"Food is medicine and we aim to educate people around healthy lifestyle through food."

As well as being a cafe, the site will also be transformed into a health and wellness centre.

Ms Haswell-Smith has a scientific background in healthy eating.

She has studied psychology, anthropology, nutrition, aromatherapy and is a gut and psychology syndrome diet practitioner. …
