New Country, New Life; Fishing Trip Hooks New Love, Marriage and Now a Bouncing Baby

SHE is the perfect package for new Boyne Island dad Jordan Morota with the arrival of a baby daughter, a welcome trifecta for him and wife Rocia.

The birth of Elicia Esclada Morota on Tuesday, August 2, is now part of their ongoing story that follows a chance beach meeting while fishing.

Elicia is their first child and she weighed 2940g when born at 4.33pm at Gladstone Hospital.

In just three weeks she has changed the couple's lives and quickly become the focus of their new family.

Jordan and Rocia say that while other babies were relatively quiet in the hospital nursery, Elicia was noisy. And she is at home, too, Jordan saying she is "a handful".

The Morota's come from the Philippines and were "introduced" through family, getting to know each other at first on Facebook and Skype.

And life as a mum in Queensland is very different for Rocia who as a girl planned to be a nun.

Rocia said she noticed Jordan in 2011 at St Francis Church, Tannum Sands, when she was on holiday but they did not chat. …
