Nunchucks and Pot in House; an Unauthorised Fire the Last in a Long List of Offences

ALEXANDER Zane Graham can't seem to keep out of trouble.

From being caught with nunchucks and cannabis in his bedroom to causing a fracas at a hospital, the 41-year-old Mount Morgan man pleaded guilty to a string of offences yesterday.

These included charges of obstructing police, public nuisance and lighting an unauthorised fire.

Police prosecutor Clancy Fox told the Rockhampton Magistrates Court that in August this year police executed a search warrant on the defendant's home which led them to a bowl of chopped cannabis in his bedroom. The police also discovered nunchucks hanging from a curtain rod in his bedroom and kitchen, although Graham alleged they were a movie prop and for display only.

Earlier this year in June Graham and his girlfriend attended the Mount Morgan Base Hospital so she could be treated for an injury.

While at the hospital the pair got into a verbal argument, prompting hospital staff to call police to their address once they returned home. …
