Another String in Bow for Mackay; Archery Attack Draws Near

IMAGINE playing paintball, archery and dodgeball all at the same time.

It's the newest venture for Aqua Fun Park Mackay operators Amanda Pelagalli and Kirk Langford.

And they're bringing it to Mackay right in time for the September school holidays.

The news comes with an added bonus that the aqua park will also reopen this summer, after a tough first year.

Ms Pelagalli and Mr Langford expect to launch Archery Attack, a mobile venture based at the Andergrove aqua park on September 26.

It's good news after the recent loss of the Whitsunday region's Airlie Aqua Park, which relocated to the Gold Coast.

"We're the first regional area outside of the major cities to launch Archery Attack here in Australia. Imagine dodgeball and paintball with bows and soft foam-tipped arrows," Ms Pelagalli said.

"Brisbane would have been the closest one. But Archery Attack is fully mobile, they travel around, and ours will be like that as well. …
