MICHAEL Kennedy has had an interest in photography from a young age but only really delved into it while undertaking Film and TV studies in Brisbane.

The Rockhampton-based photographer was voted in as the number one wedding photographer in Central Queensland by the public through a Morning Bulletin poll.

After Michael finished film school, he worked in Brisbane for several years as a freelance cinematographer and photographer, working on projects for UQ, QUT and other big companies.

Michael who has now been shooting professionally for 10 years said during his career he has spent a lot of time capturing moments in theatre and performances, only recently moving into weddings.

"In the last two years I've added weddings to the services I offer and haven't looked back," he said.

"I love shooting weddings for so many reasons, but what resonates with me the most is being able contribute to so many family legacies. …
