MIDDLESBROUGH'S unbeaten record in the Women's Premier League came to an end on Sunday after they were beaten 3-0 at Teesdale Park by Leicester City.

Boro were heading the Northern Division table before the weekend, but for the first time this season they failed to score as they drop to fourth.

Norton & Stockton Ancients are second in the North East Regional Premier Division, on goal difference, following a second consecutive win.

Norton overcame Tynedale 6-5 away to maintain their perfect start to the season, the goals coming from Sian Williams (4), Rebecca Davison and Ellie Hamilton.

In the NE Regional North, Hartlepool United maintained their winning streak from last season to make it two wins from two in the league as Jess Dawson grabbed the only goal in a home victory over Blyth Town Lions.

Since Seaton Carew Ladies became Hartlepool Utd, they've won every league game.

Hosts Redcar Town came out on top in a very close game against newly promoted Guisborough at Mo Mowlam Memorial Park. …
