Start Your Engines. Hillclimb Series Action Attracts Talented Field of Drivers

HILLCLIMB: Round four of the GSCC Hillclimb series takes place this Sunday with more than 40 competitors set to blaze up the Mountain View Motor Sport Complex track.

Competition will be spread across 11 classes with a range of competitors including newcomers and regulars to the winding track in a variety of vehicles, from the the formula libre racing cars through to road registered sedans and everything modified in between.

Race day will see Daryl Small in his Holden Commodore battle to become 2016 club champion in Class 8 before heading off to compete in the Australian Hillclimb Championship at Byrant Park in October. However, it won't be easy to secure the title with tough competition in Phil Moran, Ryan McSwan and Rodney Bryant.

The usual battles will continue in the popular classes. Class 1 (Road Registered) will see Renault's, Suzuki's and Nissan Skyline. It will be an interesting battle between co-drivers with Philip Martin and Ron Rosolen in their Renault and Shannon Smith and Matthew Springer in their Suzuki. …
