MR ANDERSON: 1. How long have you been a headteacher? For six long and very rewarding years.

2. What do you like best about working with students at Bede Primary? I like watching children come into our school with smiles on their faces and I like watching them grow into confident learners.

3. Which subject did you teach before becoming a headteacher? Why? I trained to be a PE teacher. I also loved teaching maths. My favourite number is 64 because it's a squared and cubed number.

4. Which part of school life do you find to be the most important for your students? Learning should be exciting, challenging and relevant.

5. Do you believe the school meals to be adequate and healthy? Yes, School meals are very important and we have a great cook (Carol) She is absolutely brilliant.

6. Why did you become a teacher over other possible careers? It's the best job in the world!
