BIRTLEY RAOB ended Sunniside Travellers Rest's 100% Premier Division record with a fine 2-1 win.

Callum Turnbull and Adam Berry claimed Birtley's goals, John Dewhurst for Sunniside.

Blue Star prevailed 3-2 at Whickham Coachman.

Connor Halpin and Robert Houghton put Blue Star two up before Matty Baldwin pulled one back for Whickham.

Halpin again restored Blue Star's two-goal lead but on 87 minutes Jordan Carling was on target for the Coachies to set up an exciting ending.

However, Blue Star held on to take the points.

In the Premier Division Cup, Belle Vue beat Holmeside Hall 8-3 thanks to hat-tricks from James Bowman and Joe Hailes.

Scott Heslop also bagged a brace for Belle Vue.

Lee Laidler notched two for Holmeside, Dylan Howourth also registering.

Winlaton West End progressed with a 5-2 victory over Stormont Main.

Mark Dodds was the hat-trick hero alongside strikes from Mark Fitzpatrick and Sean Best.

Westwood hit Saltwell for six without reply, Gary McCartney converting four of them. …
