New-Look Coles Is Unveiled

ORIGINAL Coles team member Jo Collins recalls when the store first opened in Grand Central Shopping Centre 20 years ago.

She remembers walking through the aisles when the store was just a "shell".

It's completely different to how it looks these days with supermarket staff today unveiling the store's "new look", part of an investment of more than $10 million in Toowoomba over the past three years.

Coles at Grand Central Shopping Centre will be the first Coles supermarket in Toowoomba to offer shoppers flat bread made daily on-site from the in-store bakery.

The reinvigorated store will also feature a wider variety of health foods including a scoop and weigh station, an expanded fresh produce offer and new-look delicatessen with a greater range of olives at the self-serve olive bar.

Coles operations manager Reagan Lauder said the supermarket giant had invested more than $10 million into new and renewed supermarkets at Toowoomba, Dalby, Gatton, Toowoomba north and Goondiwindi in the past three years. …
