WE all hear about the NRL and its integrity unit that investigates any wrongdoing amongst NRL players.

It is also known to all about how players' bad behaviour brings the games into disrepute. That then in turn relates to the general public, fans and, most importantly, our children.

Kids are very susceptible to this sort of thing because they imitate their favourite player and their actions without really thinking about the consequences.

The point here is that when it suits the NRL it turns a blind eye to adverse player actions, thereby throwing credibility out the door.

The most recent case of this was enacted at the Dally M Award, where the highest achievement of the night is the awarding of the Dally M Medal. This win was shared by Storm half-back Cooper Cronk and Cowboys forward Jason Taumalolo, who became first running forward in 26 years to win.

Cooper is an ornament to the game, a perfect example to everyone in the way he plays, trains and lives his life. …
