HOW would you like to take a nice scenic flight over Clifton and district for charity? Well you can.

The team at the Lone Eagle Flying School and members of the Darling Downs Sport Aircraft Association will take to the skies over Clifton to support the Toowoomba Hospice when they stage an open day at the Clifton airfield on Saturday.

Toowoomba Hospice Administration and Fundraising Manager Mark Munro said it was a novel way of raising money with a bird's eye view.

"When Glenn Bruggeman a member of Lone Eagle Flying School (and Hospice staff member) came in and saw me about his club having an open day to help raise money for the Hospice I thought how novel that is and what fun, as I am always trying to put the fun back into fundraising," he said.

The Flying School is hoping to attract strong support from members of the public during the day and to do this they have made the entry free of charge.

Mr Munro said there will be a few fundraising activities on the day, but the opportunity to take a flight across the Clifton district will be the main one. …
