Jubilee Line's Night Tube Begins as Date Is Set for Northern Service

THE Night Tube begins on the Jubilee line tonight, with the 24-hour service starting on the Northern line from November 18.

The Jubilee line service will allow passengers to travel to and from major venues such as The O2 and Wembley Stadium and cultural attractions on the South Bank.

Trains will run around every 10 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights between Stratford and Stanmore.

Northern line services will run from High Barnet and Edgware, via the Charing Cross branch, to Morden, serving music venues in Camden, bars and restaurants in Clapham and theatres in the West End. The announcement of a start date for Northern line services was welcomed by attractions on the route.

Liz Fosbury, chief operating officer at the National Theatre, predicted it would "hugely benefit" their audiences and staff.

Concert venue KOKO's operations manager, Mike Hamer, said it would be "fantastic" for their customers, as many have to leave before the end of an event to catch the last Tube. …
