Legend and Son Sing a Song of Pure Steel; Tribute to 'This Place Called Home' to Help Zoe's Place Baby Hospice

LEGENDARY musician Paul Rodgers has teamed up with his son for a Teesside-themed fundraiser in aid of Zoe's Place.

And the video features some extraordinary archive footage of scenes from our past.

It's the first time Boro lad Paul - a rock legend from his time with Bad Company and Free, as well as through his solo work - has recorded with son Steve.

And the song they've chosen is a poignant homage to Paul's Teesside roots, and its steel industry.

With music and lyrics by Adam Dennis, "This Place Called Home" is described as a "song celebrating the heritage of the working man, the father and son who for generations have proudly contributed to some of the world's greatest industrial wonders."

The lyrics include: "There's a steel river running through our hearts, our fathers and our sons have put this town on the map."

And the video includes amazing footage of Teesside scenes, supplied by the North East Film Archive.

All proceeds from the single will go to the Zoe's Place baby hospice in Normanby, which says it's "absolutely thrilled and delighted to be the beneficiary of the proceeds from this very special song. …
