A WOMAN in her 40s was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition at about 3.30pm yesterday after a car she was a passenger in crashed on the corner of Don Young Dr and the Dawson Hwy. The woman was trapped in the crushed car for more than an hour but appeared to suffer minor cuts to her legs. Firies used the 'jaws of life' to cut off the car roof to get the woman out of the car. Sergeant Kieran Barton said the car had left the road and "jumped off a piece of concrete" before hitting another car and smashing into a light pole and down an embankment.

WITH light offshore winds and the chance of rain today there might be some waves at Agnes Water with 2-3ft swell expected throughout the day. The wind should make the waves stand up a little more in the morning before it swings to a cross-shore wind. …
