CONSETT Saint Patrick's held on to top spot in the Premier Division after a 6-2 success against Stockton Church United.

Peter Price and Tom Lavery claimed doubles with Jack Malone and Colin Wheatley also netting.

Jumping into second place are Saint Paul's Ryhope.

New signing Dale Spencer put them 1-0 ahead against Emmanuel Church Durham but Karl Smith equalised.

Before half-time a foul in the box saw Anthony Young score from the spot to put Saint Paul's 2-1 ahead.

Spencer scored twice more for his hat-trick on debut and Young notched his second, Daniel Armstrong netting at the death as Saint Paul's Ryhope finished 6-1 winners.
