AMONG the cases dealt with by Teesside Magistrates' Court on October 10 were: Kevin Westcough, 51, of Cheviot Crescent, Billingham, fined PS267, banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay PS115 costs for speeding.

Sayyad Ghavasian, 38, of Maria Street, Middlesbrough, fined PS120, banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay PS70 costs for drug driving.

Mark Anthony Doyle, 45, of Lanchester Road, Middlesbrough, fined PS185 and ordered to pay PS115 costs for obstructing a police officer. James David Anthony Griffiths, 18, of Fabian Road, Eston, given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS60 costs for stealing two concrete boot planters and a concrete duck.

Craig Routledge, 42, of Cranswick Close, Billingham, given a nine-month community order with 15 days' rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay PS170 costs for possessing ammunition.

Michael George Richard Smith, 28, of Bondfield Road, Middlesbrough, given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS60 costs for theft.

Amanda Jane Walton, 45, of Carisbrooke Avenue, Middlesbrough, given an eight-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS50 compensation for assault.
