Anderson Says He Could Be Fit for the Second Test

JIMMY ANDERSON today revealed he has a chance of playing for England in next week's Second Test against India.

England's leading Test wicket-taker has arrived in India after missing this Test in Rajkot following a stress fracture of his shoulder blade, but he is optimistic he will be back ahead of schedule.

It was thought initially that Anderson would be unable to play before the Fourth Test in Mumbai, which starts on December 8, but he may now be available in Visakhapatnam next week.

"I had a good week at Loughborough getting overs under my belt and I hope I can keep that going this week," said Anderson. "I want to get miles in my legs and be as fit as I can possibly be, and maybe be fit for the Second Test.
