COOLUM Beach ladies squad manager Marilyn Clayton says there's no secret to their success, it's good old-fashioned camaraderie which has propelled them to greater heights.

The club is celebrating a state Champion of Club Champions fours title and is now poised for a tilt at the Queensland division one pennants crown after earning a berth in the finals of the prestigious competition.

"We just feel we've got a really nice team environment, which I think you've got to have (to be successful)," Clayton said.

"It's a real team effort. Everybody has to play well to get to the point we've got to.

"Everyone has to get along really well and if you've got a good atmosphere in the team it goes a long way, on and off the green.

"(And) I think a lot of the players who have been there and done that before have been a good help to some of the others who are coming up."

Coolum Beach's divsion one pennants squad comprises 12 players. …
