1. The Kryptonite Challenge

WHEN: Today, 8am

WHERE: Toowoomba Showgrounds

WITH electric shocks, ice baths, zorb balls and fire jumps, The Kryptonite Challenge will be the toughest endurance event to hit Toowoomba.

There will be about 40 tough and muddy obstacles.

It's open to any fitness level and it is not a race so people can take as long as they like to complete the course.

Those who don't wish to attempt any obstacle can just miss it out and move on to the next.

2. Backyard Gardeners Markets

WHEN: Today, 7am-2pm

WHERE: Corner of Taylor and Mort Sts

THERE is a new place in Toowoomba to buy plants and other garden items.

The Toowoomba Backyard Gardeners Markets is held on the third Sunday of each month with a sausage sizzle and cold drinks available.

3. Alice in Wonderland

WHEN: Today at 3pm

WHERE: Empire Theatre

RADIANCE Academy Toowoomba retells the undying classic Alice in Wonderland through the medium of dance.

Performers will transport you on a magical journey down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland.

You will encounter all of your favourite Wonderland characters in an afternoon of fun and frivolity. Be wowed by a talented cast, beautiful costumes, incredible choreography, great singing and catchy music.

4. Walk for Mason

WHEN: Today, 9.30am

WHERE: Queens Park, meet at Lindsay St playground

JOIN a walk in honour of Mason Jett Lee to stand up and be his voice and the voice of other innocent children who are living in silence.

Mason, 1, was found dead in Caboolture in June this year after suffering horrific abuse at the hands of those who were supposed to care for him.

5. Homeless fundraiser

WHEN: Tomorrow, 11am-5pm

WHERE: Murphys Creek Community Centre

TED and Friends country music and Base Services Soup Kitchen are hosting a fundraiser for the homeless.

Every cent raised from the concert will go directly to the coup kitchen to help the homeless.

There will be lucky door prizes, multi-draw raffles and artist performing include Ged and Trudy Hintz, Jim Strohfeld and Jim Williams. …
