Many Changes at Old, New Parts of Grand Central

IT CAN be hard to keep up with all the revamps of Grand Central's old and new areas so The Chronicle has complied a list of recent changes.

International retailer L'OCCITANE, as well as Australian brands R.M. Williams and SILVERSHOP have all opened in the new retail galleria in recent months.

SILVERSHOP owner Colin Desbrow started the brand in Toowoomba at Grand Central in 1990 and now has seven stores around Queensland.

"I was the smallest shop in the centre then," he laughed.

For the past 18 months the brand had been trading out of a kiosk in the centre during construction of the new retail galleria.

Now the new-look store can be found near Pandora on level two and it is the second of its style in Queensland.

"When the galleria was being established, it prompted us to look at the future of the current store and the new designs really came from there," Mr Desbrow said.

"SILVERSHOP had a pink and white theme but based on trends we decided to drop the pink and go charcoal and white. …
