Woman Drives off after Causing Three-Car Crash

A WOMAN who caused a three-car crash later told police she drove off after a woman yelled at her because she suffered from anxiety.

Mount Pleasant woman Gina Michelle Daly, 42, pleaded guilty in the Mackay Magistrates Court to driving without due care and attention and failing to comply with the duties of a driver involved in a crash by leaving her contact details.

Prosecutor Sergeant Jakki Poustie said that on the morning of August 26, police were called to a crash near the intersection of Sams Rd and the Bruce Hwy.

A grey Ford Ranger had crashed into the rear of a blue Holden Commodore. There was numerous pieces

Sgt Poustie said witnesses said a woman driving a black Volkswagen had crashed into the rear of the Ford Ranger.

The force propelled it into the car in front as they had been slowing down at the intersection.

Both drivers told police the woman had sat in the car for several minutes before she drove away. …
