Dora and Her Five Puppies Stolen; APPEAL AS DOGS TAKEN FROM FARM

A MAN is hoping for the safe return of his dog and five puppies after they were stolen from his farm.

Craig Vaughan, 50, had been out working on his land in High Worsall, near Yarm, and returned home to discover his two-year-old cocker spaniel, Dora, and her five three-week-old puppies had been stolen from their kennels.

Craig, a part-time farmer, said: "I'd been out working and my son called me to ask if I'd taken Dora and the puppies out.

"I couldn't believe it when I realised they'd been taken - I just thought 'are you joking?' "When I got home I saw that the dogs had been stolen from the outside kennels. Luckily they weren't kept inside the house otherwise there could have been a lot of damage caused."

The theft has concerned Craig as the puppies were only given their first milk feed the day they were stolen and he fears they could die if not looked after properly.

He said: "They are bred to be working dogs and they are only three weeks old. …
