Theo's to Triumph on Bow

THEO'S Charm can make an immediate impact on his first try over fences in the SIS Novices' Chase at Plumpton.

Nick Gifford's six-year-old has already demonstrated his liking for this particular venue having notching both of his two hurdles victories at this track last term.

He seemingly does not put his best foot forward at just this track either, as he also scored a cracking fifth in Grade Three company at Ascot back in January before his form petered out with a disappointing effort at Cheltenham in April.

That run has clearly left no mark though as Theo's Charm deserved plenty of credit after chasing home Kruzhlinin in the Grade Three Fixed Brush Hurdle at Haydock last month, being beaten just two and a half lengths by a more battle-hardened rival.

He did not really seem to thrive over the near three-mile trip that day so a drop in distance makes more sense here, particularly as he will be tackling fences for the first time.

Khezerabad can spearhead a double for Nicky Henderson in the opening J H Builders Novices' Hurdle. The four-year-old was pretty highly tried last term, finishing third in the Adonis at Kempton before tackling Grade One company when pulled up at Aintree.

Henderson has lowered his sights a bit this campaign, when he came off second best to a stablemate at Cheltenham in October before finally getting his head in front at Sandown in November.

Turned out at Listed level later that month, Khezerabad found the hike in class beyond him, although the soft ground on Merseyside would not have been ideal that day.

A PS100,000 purchase back in April 2015, Stowaway Magic has not really lived up to that price tag yet, although his Warwick win back in May showed he is capable of landing at least a minor event.

Stowaway Magic returns from his summer break here, but can make his presence felt.

Crievehill looks likely to take some beating in the Davies Chemist Novices' Hurdle at Ffos Las.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained four-year-old made a perfectly satisfactory debut over obstacles at Ludlow last month, ultimately having to settle for second with a mistake three out not helping his cause. …
