ISAAC Hayden says Newcastle United cannot afford to take this afternoon's home game with Rotherham United too lightly.

The Millers are rock-bottom of the Sky Bet Championship with their boss Paul Warne saying they will be "legends" if they can claim three points at St James' Park.

Speaking ahead of United's next home game, Hayden said: "We played them away from home and it was a difficult game, a lot of long balls. They know what they want to do. As we have seen before at SJP, teams like to sit back.

"If we go out and put in 110% then we should have no problems."

Hayden feels Newcastle are over their slight blip in form during the festive period as they look to record their third win on the spin.

He said: "I think teams will go through certain stages like that.

"Maybe we were unlucky and things did not go our away. …
